Urmila Foundation recently organized a Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and to ensure the availability of safe blood for those in urgent need. Volunteers, donors, and healthcare professionals came together in the spirit of giving and saving lives.
The camp witnessed participation from over 120 donors, including college students, corporate employees, and local citizens. Medical teams ensured hygienic and safe procedures for each donation. Educational sessions were also held to debunk myths and promote the benefits of voluntary blood donation. Certificates and refreshments were provided to all donors as a token of appreciation.
Blood donation is a noble act that costs nothing but saves countless lives. Through this initiative, Urmila Foundation not only collected essential blood units but also spread awareness about the need for regular donations. The foundation plans to host such camps quarterly, building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
